CSN Homes bring festive cheer to Worthing Hospital Children’s Ward
The DVD players will support those children who spend time on the wards and can be used by the bedside which is vital during recovery from illness or an operation.
Westley’s Elves (www.facebook.com/westleyselves/) was set up by Louise and James after their son, Westley, was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and spent a considerable amount of time in hospital during the festive season. They found that the ward was lacking in equipment and good quality toys, and so set up their non-profit organisation to support the wards at Worthing.
James and Louise organise collection boxes around Worthing for public donations of new toys and also organise a raffle to help to pay for larger equipment purchases.
All the toys and gifts are then wrapped and delivered to the ward on Christmas Eve, ready for the team to distribute them on Christmas Day.
“We are delighted to be involved with this really worthwhile charity” commented Alan Goldberg, MD of CSN Homes Ltd “It is a real pleasure to be able to support the children in this way and we look forward to the DVD’s being delivered with the gifts and toys on Christmas Eve.”
James said “None of this would be possible without the kindness and generosity of everybody who donates gifts to what we see as a wonderful cause. CSN Homes Ltd recognising it as a worthy cause has just been the icing on the cake this year, and the amazing donation from them will allow us to spend the raffle takings on other items that the play team desperately need.”
